The need for electricity is growing day by day. And the soaring price of Petrol, Coal and Natural Gas have pushed many governments to look into the possibility of using Nuke Energy as an alternative. But is it necessary for them to rely on it ?

Some may think nuclear energy is a cost effective way of providing electricity to the mass. But the risks behind it is too huge.First of all is the disposal of radioactive waste. if it is not managed properly, it could endanger the environment and even people who live nearby. Like any other power plants, nuclear reactors are also subject to malfunctions. If they are not handled properly it could lead to catastrophic events.

Yet, some countries may still proceed with the plan bearing in mind the risks involved. Why take the risk, when there are other ways to produce plenty of electricity without facing such big risks ?

Solar energy, for example is 1 of the most safest way of producing electricity. Imagine your house acting as a power plant on its own, supplying electricity to your while while you’re at work. Hooking up a solar panel grid tie system will not only reduce significant amount of electricity produced by conventional methods, but offers electricity to your house at almost no cost.

Substituting petrol, coal and natural gas to hydrogen is another alternative to producing electricity. Oil Platforms can be turned into Hydrogen Platforms whereby solar energy is used for electrolysis and the hydrogen is stored to be collected by tankers. Since there is plenty of seawater and sunlight available, the fuel source never depletes.

There are many other alternative ways of getting electricity, and Nuke Energy is not the only answer.

A friend is a person who loves everyone surrounding them. Friend is someone who we are close to apart from family members. Friend is a place where we share our problems with. A friend is who always be right beside us no matter what happens. Nowadays, good friends are difficult to find because they really don’t know the importance of having best friends in life.

Characteristic of a Friend

A friend is someone who cares for you and loves you very much. They know how to deal with their friends. A friend is someone who have the ability to understand their friend’s situation and problems. In simple word, a friend is a person who can be trusted and helpful.

A Good Friend

A good friend is a person who is trustworthy. They won’t expect anything from the friendship. They are good listener when a friend is having a problem and in need of help. They also give support to them when they are down. That is the symbol of a good friendship.

A Bad Friend

A bad friend refer’s to people who don’t know the meaning of friendship. For them, friends are just a past time. They make use of friends for their benefit. They will be selfish. They will only look for friends when they are in need of something and walk off when they have achieved what they want.

Continuation from Transportation : Rise of the Hydrogen Cars

Having the open source idea is great. but as a consumer, many may still be thinking when would they be able to get hold of these hydrogen cars.

Well wait no more. Some of the leading car manufacturers have already sent a few of their hydrogen cars on the street. i have choosen 2 of them for my review here. They are Honda’s FCX Clarity and General Motor’s Chevrolet Equinox.

Honda’s FCX Clarity

Honda's FCX Clarity

Clarity has been the best hydrogen car that i have ever seen so far. With an amazing look and incredible performance, Clarity has been named 2009’s World Green Car award. Clarity, now only available to Southern Californians, is being leased for $600/month for 3 years. Please note that only limited numbers of cars are being released under this lease. for more information [check their official site]. Hopefully we will see this car in our streets in near future.

General Motor’s Chevrolet Equinox

General Motor's Chevrolet Equinox

Equinox has came long way after years of developement and is the best of its kind from General Motors. Similar to Clarity, Equinox has also been deployed in limited number to these areas. California, New York and Washington. Although i couldnt find much official information on how to get my hands on this little beauty, ive been told by a previous commentator that General Motor’s is letting people drive these cars free for several months in exchange for their feedback on the car. pretty good deal i think. for more information [check their official site].

All hail, Windows 7.

Windows 7 is the new range of operating system introduced by Microsoft. Said to be on store by Oct 22, 2009, Windows 7 aims to replace Windows Vista & the aging Windows XP.

Why should i bothered to upgrade, some may ask.

Windows XP has reached up to SP3 but still lacks behind in terms of certain technology (notably Direct X 10 for the gamers). but compared to other Windows operating system, Windows XP is by far the most stable operating system available in the market. And since it uses far less resource compared to Vista & Windows 7, it is still the most preferred operating system around.

Windows Vista on the other hand has just reached the SP2 mark, and seem to be doing much better than the time it was initially released. Being a stable product added with whole lot of features not available in Windows XP, Windows Vista is worth the investment for anyone.

Windows 7 which suppose to be running on similar core to Windows Vista should be able to compete with both the products. Moreover, with the built in Windows XP mode, it should be able to get all your Windows XP application running seamlessly. Top it up with all the new features made available, and a nifty pricetag, Windows 7 is the way to go.

With the soaring price of petroleum and alarming state of global warming and pollution, countries around the world are racing to find alternative solution for the conventional vehicles used in streets today. Some of the technologies they rely to achieve these goal includes :

1.Hydrogen Fuel Cells.

2.Electric Cars running on batteries.

3.Solar Cars.

4.Compressed Air Cars.

5.BioFeul Cars.

Among these, Hydrogen technology have managed to surpass the others in terms of advancement and implementation. Many big car manufacturers like Honda & Toyota have already deployed Hydrogen Fuel Cell based test units on the streets. RiverSimple, another Hydrogen Fuel Cell car manufacturer went even 1 step ahead and released their “Riversimple urban car” design as Open Source, allowing entrepreneurs around the world to download the designs and manufacture the two-seater prototype locally for FREE !
